Lenovo has relaunched the Motorola brand in South Africa, beginning with the Moto Z smartphone.
The Moto Z comes in at 5.19mm thick — thanks to it dropping the headphone jack in favour of a USB Type-C adapter — and supports a range of “Mods”.
Mods are accessories that snap onto the back of the device, such as a Hasselblad compact camera mod, an extended battery, and a pocket projector.
The Moto Z is made from “military aircraft-grade aluminium and stainless steel”, and features a 5.5-inch quad-HD display.
Hardware specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, and microSD support for up to 2TB.
A 13MP main camera, 5MP front camera, fingerprint reader, and “water-repellent coating” are also counted among the phone’s features.
