Vodacom has revealed two new premium smartphones, along with a range of mid-to-low-tier branded devices, Vodacom Smart Platinum 7 and Smart Ultra 7
Smart Platinum 7 has a high-end feel, and the build quality feels really good, glass front and back with a metal frame, it does contend well with the competition in the premium space.
Whilst the processor is not the fastest on the market, it is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 and users should be more than happy with the phones responsiveness coupled with the 3GB of RAM.
The main camera is a 16MP with 4K recording capability and a dual tone flash, the secondary “selfie camera” is also a more than amiable 8MP, once again sporting a flash.
Vodacom also unveiled a range of mid-to-entry-level smartphones.
These were the:
- Smart Prime 7
- Smart Mini 7
- Smart Kicka 2
- Smart Tab 2 3G
Vodacom will also sell its first virtual reality headset as a bundled accessory with the Smart Platinum 7, called the Vodafone Smart VR.
All Vodacom branded devices come with a three-year warranty.
